Research Overview
Dr. Lund has a broad background in cognitive science and education, with specific training and expertise in the field of simulation, education science, and qualitative research. Her prior research has focused on the use of simulation to instruct, assess, and select surgical residents, the impact of gender and racial bias on medical education, and the prevalence of, predictors of, and methods to prevent burnout in medical professionals. She has successfully led collaborative multi-institutional surgical education research projects and has a proven track record in moving large multi-institutional studies forward, with realistic research methodologies and timeline.
