Your Michigan Answer for Pediatric Infectious Diseases
Infections are common in children. While they are often mild and resolve without treatment, they can also cause severe disease. The Pediatric Infectious Diseases team at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital provides care for infants, children, and adolescents facing complex infections.
Our multidisciplinary team combines advanced expertise with a thoughtful, personalized approach to diagnosing and treating children with common and rare conditions alike, such as bone and joint infections, pneumonia, recurrent infections, and fevers of unknown origin. Our Pediatric Transplant and Immunocompromised Host Infectious Diseases services work closely with Michigan’s largest pediatric solid organ and bone marrow transplant programs to prevent and manage complicated infections that can arise in children whose immune systems are compromised.
We also offer advanced antimicrobial treatment, long-term management of chronic infections, and strategies to help prevent future infections. We work closely with your child’s primary care provider and other subspecialists to coordinate care.
When your child requires specialized care for infectious diseases, trust the pediatric experts at U-M Health.
