Glaucoma Service
The Glaucoma Service at the U-M Kellogg Eye Center treats children and adults with conditions that increase eye pressure or damage the optic nerve.
Our Approach
The Glaucoma Service offers expert evaluation and treatment for glaucoma and related conditions. We combine advanced diagnostic tools—such as visual field testing, OCT, tonometry, and optic nerve imaging—with careful clinical assessment to guide care.
Treatment may include medications, laser procedures, or surgery.
Our team has extensive experience managing complex cataract cases, including those involving glaucoma or other eye abnormalities, and provides specialized care for both adults and children with glaucoma.
Advanced Testing to Support Your Eye Care
When you get your eyes checked at the U-M Kellogg Eye Center, you may be sent to specialized testing areas like ophthalmic ultrasound, ophthalmic photography, or diagnostic visual electrophysiology. These advanced tests will provide more detailed information than a regular eye exam to help detect problems early, confirm a diagnosis, and guide your treatment plan.
