Nail Disorders
Nail Disorders
Nails are an important part of our skin, with nail disorders making up about 10% of all dermatologic concerns. Certain nail problems develop suddenly, while others are chronic or worsen over time. Changes in the nail, such as thickening or discoloration, can signal a problem of the nail alone or can be a sign of other health problems. Nail Disorders can be painful or inhibit daily activities.
Our Approach
The Nail Disorder Clinic at U-M Health Dermatology offers expert diagnosis and advanced treatment, including nail surgery, for all types of nail concerns. Our board-certified dermatologists work with you to plan the most helpful treatment for your nail concern.
