Map Orientation & Connection Overview

  • Compass Directions: North is straight up toward the top of the map, South is down toward the bottom, West is to the left, and East is to the right.
  • Access Requirement: According to the text on the map, all buildings are accessible from Med Inn Floor 2.

Detailed Floor 3 Med Inn Navigation

  • Layout: This area is represented by a vertical brown rectangular wing with a light gray central corridor running North to South.
  • Med Inn Clinic Elevators (11): Located in the lower-middle portion of this vertical wing is a blue square enclosing the number 11.
  • Restrooms: Directly adjacent to the west side of the elevator 11 core are two separate restroom symbols (one positioned directly north of the other).
  • Occupational Health Services (307): Located directly north of the restroom and elevator cluster is the area marked 307.
  • Clinical Allergy Research (305): Located at the absolute northernmost tip of the light gray corridor is the area marked 305.

Detailed Floor 2 Access Route & Floor Layout

The orange access route serves as a continuous, baseline pathway linking the different colored facility sections (brown, dark blue, dark green, and blue).

1. Far West Section (Brown "Med Inn" Area)

  • Elevator 11: At the southernmost end of this orange path segment is a brown area containing a blue square with the number 11.
  • Path Direction: Moving straight North out of this elevator station, the orange access route turns sharply East. It passes a junction containing an escalator symbol and a blue square enclosing the number 2.

2. Northern Horizontal Corridor (Dark Blue "Floor 2 / University Hospital" Area)

  • As the orange route continues straight East, it forms a long horizontal corridor running through the University Hospital section.
  • Restrooms: Walking East along this corridor, you pass two restroom symbols on your left (North) side prior to reaching the cafeteria, and a third restroom symbol on your left right after passing it.
  • Cafeteria & MPU: Situated on the north side of the path is the Cafeteria block, with the label MPU located further to the northeast.
  • Vertical Connectors: Along the south side of this horizontal path branch are two connectors: one marked with a blue square enclosing the number 3 accompanied by an escalator symbol, and another slightly further east marked with a blue square enclosing the number 4.
  • Chapel: Directly north of the blue square 4 junction is an area labeled Chapel.

3. Central Vertical Corridor (Dark Green "Taubman" Area)

  • The Turn: Immediately east of the blue square 4 junction, the orange access route turns sharply South, traveling vertically along the eastern edge of the dark green Taubman section.
  • Lettered Locations: Moving South down this path, you pass locations on your right (West) side in sequence: ABC, and then D.
  • Information Desk & Restrooms: Directly east of locations B and C, the path passes an information symbol (?) and a restroom symbol. At the absolute southern termination of this green vertical corridor is another information symbol (?).

4. East Section (Driveway & Parking Areas)

  • Parking P2 Access: Near the central information/restroom hub (adjacent to location C), a branch of the orange access route splits off to the East. It passes a blue square enclosing the number 5 and a blue square enclosing P2 (elevator icon). The path loops around the area labeled Parking P2, which contains the text "enter at Floor 1".
  • Valet Parking & Drop-Off: North of this loop, in a white zone, is a valet parking/patient drop off symbol (key icon) with the text "at first floor".
  • East Medical Center Drive: The easternmost boundary of the orange access route runs along a path labeled East Medical Center Drive.
  • Parking P3 Access: At the absolute southern exit below the green section, a blue square enclosing P3 sits next to a building entry/exit symbol (dark blue triangle), leading directly into Parking P3, which contains the text "enter at Floor 2".

From P2 Parking - Take the P2 elevator to Floor 1

  • Exit the elevator and enter the Taubman Center
  • Take Taubman Elevator 5 to Floor 2
  • Follow the overhead signs toward Med Inn, Elevator 11
  • Take Elevator 11 to Floor 3*

From P3 Parking - Take the P3 elevator to Floor 2

  • Exit the elevator and enter the Taubman Center.
  • Follow the overhead signs toward Med Inn, Elevator 11.
  • Take Elevator 11 to Floor 3

  • Clinical Allergy Research and Exam Suite (CARES)
    Turn right as you exit the elevator on Floor 3. Turn left and walk to the end of the hall. Clinical Allergy Research Staff will greet you at the end of the hallway.
  • Occupational Health Services
    Turn right as you exit the elevator on Floor 3. Turn left around the corner, Occupational Health Services check-in will be on the left.
