Floor Map Description
Orientation and Western Core (Critical Care & Dialysis)
- Compass Orientation: North is toward the top of the map, South is down, West is to the left, and East is to the right.
- Loop Configuration: The far West end features a loop corridor grid.
- Northwest Wing: Circle 701 (7D Critical Care Medicine Unit - CCMU) is located along the northern side of this western loop.
- Southwest Wing: Circle 702 (Dialysis- Acute, Chronic & Nocturnal) is located along the southern side of this loop.
- West Elevator & Amenities: South of the corridor intersection leading into the loop is a blue square enclosing the number 2, indicating Elevator 2. A restroom symbol is situated directly North of this elevator square.
Horizontal Patient Corridor
- Double-Corridor Spine: Heading straight East from the western section leads into a long horizontal double-corridor structure.
- North Patient Track: The top horizontal corridor is designated as Circle 703 (Adult Patient Rooms 7402-7455, river side).
- South Patient Track: The bottom horizontal corridor is designated as Circle 704 (Adult Patient Rooms 7102-7154, court side).
- Central Core Islands: Central facility blocks labeled C, B, and A divide the corridors sequentially from West to East.
Eastern Core
- Southern Hallway Branch: Near the eastern end of the patient wing, a corridor breaks South at a right angle.
- Core Amenities: Walking South down this corridor, a restroom symbol is located on the West side of the hall.
- East Elevator Access: The hallway ends at a blue square enclosing the number 3, indicating Elevator 3.
Directions to University of Michigan Hospital Floor 7
Parking for the University Hospital is in Parking Structure P2/P3.
Remember the level on which you parked.
Locate the parking structure elevator.
- From P2 Parking - Take the P2 elevator to the Floor 1
- Exit the elevator and enter the Taubman Center
- Entrance to University Hospital is at the north end of the Taubman Center
- Follow signs toward University Hospital (UH), Elevator2/Elevator 3
- Take Elevator 2 or Elevator 3 up to Floor 7*
- From P3 Parking - Take the P3 elevator to Floor 2
- Exit the elevator and enter the Taubman Center
- Follow signs toward University Hospital (UH), Elevator2/Elevator 3
- Take Elevator 2 or Elevator 3 up to Floor 7*

- Cardiac Intensive Care (CICU)
Unit has been relocated to the D. Dan and Betty Kahn Healthcare Pavilion. - 7D Critical Care Medicine Unit (CCMU)
Take Elevator 2 to Floor 7. When you exit the elevator lobby, take the first hallway
to your left and turn right at the end of this hallway. Follow signage to 7D Critical
Care Medicine (CCMU). - Dialysis/Chronic and Acute
Take Elevator 2 to Floor 7. When you exit the elevator lobby, take the first hallway to your left and turn right at the end of this hallway; you will see the overhead sign for Dialysis/Chronic and Acute on your left. - Patient Rooms
Take Elevator 3 to Floor 7. When you exit the elevator lobby, follow the hall straight ahead until you reach the patient halls. Signage will indicate room number location.
