In the latest US News ranking, University of Michigan Health's adult hospitals have been named among the nation's very best.
U.S. News and World Report annually evaluates hospitals for its Best Hospitals list by analyzing data from over 4,400 hospitals on a range of criteria, including patient experience, outcomes, care-related factors, and expert opinions from physician surveys.
For 2025-26, the University of Michigan’s hospitals were named among the nation’s very best hospitals, including being ranked among the top ten hospitals in the nation in three specialties, and nationally ranked in more specialties than any other Michigan hospital. The rankings are based on several criteria, including patient experience, outcomes, care-related factors, and expert opinions from physician surveys.
