Plastic Surgery Program (Pediatric)
Plastic Surgery Program (Pediatric)
The Pediatric Plastic Surgery Program at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital offers expert diagnosis and management for a full range of congenital and acquired conditions requiring reconstructive and cosmetic treatment.
Our Approach
Our unique team approach enables us to look at each patient’s condition from multiple perspectives to determine the best treatment strategy for our patients. Our pediatric plastic surgeons provide personalized treatment for patients from infancy – and even before birth in the form of prenatal consultation for certain congenital anomalies – through adolescence and young adulthood.
Compassionate, Supportive Care
Our patient and family-centered approach to treatment ensures your child will be cared for not just physically but also with a focus on providing support and resources for patients and families throughout their journey.
Child life specialists are an important part of our program, working with families to reduce anxiety, support healing and establish confidence and comfort. Our social workers also partner with families to connect them with resources to support them throughout the treatment journey.
Our Team
Our board-certified pediatric surgeons are recognized as leaders in research and within their field as well as for their exemplary commitment to providing the best clinical care. We work with each family to create an individualized, comprehensive treatment plan to address your child’s unique needs.
We also work closely with a wide range of specialists at Mott to provide truly coordinated care for each patient, including coordinating care with our colleagues in pediatric endocrinology, otolaryngology, oral and maxiollofacial surgery, nephrology, neurosurgery, hematology, radiology and adolescent medicine, among others. Your child will benefit from a team-based approach to care, bringing together perspectives from multiple disciplines to ensure a comprehensive review of treatment options.
