Multidisciplinary Cutaneous Oncology Program
Multidisciplinary Cutaneous Oncology Program
Our Multidisciplinary Cutaneous Oncology Program is committed to providing the latest in treatments and patient‑centered care for melanoma, Merkel cell carcinoma and other rarer forms of skin cancer.
Our program brings together Mohs surgeons dermatologists, plastic surgeons, pathologists, oncologists, and many others, to provide highly specialized care for patients with advanced and complex skin cancers. We strive to deliver the highest standard of care in a supportive environment that helps patients and families feel informed and confident throughout their care.
Our Approach
Our program handles a high volume of cases, including the most advanced cases, and offers vast expertise and experience to all our patients. If you need multi-specialty care, our team of specialists will determine a comprehensive management plan, no matter the stage of your illness.
Genetics
Research has revealed a number of different genes, which often run in families, increase the chances for melanoma to occur. Some of these genes are very rare, but for those that have them, the chances for developing melanoma are high. For our patients with these indications, our specialists often work closely with the Rogel Cancer Center Genetics Clinic.
Support
You never face cancer alone at Rogel Cancer Center. We have Patient and Family Support Services which offer a variety of information, assistance and other types of supportive care. Along with partnerships with local and national organizations.
