CO2 Laser Resurfacing
CO2 Laser Resurfacing
What is CO2 laser resurfacing?
CO2 laser resurfacing is a procedure performed by the surgeons in Plastic Surgery to treat deeper wrinkles, more severe textural changes from sun damage, wrinkles, blotchiness, and acne scars. It can be done on the whole face or in specific regions such as the upper lip, around the eyes, or the entire face. It is one of the most effective facial rejuvenation procedures.
Our Approach
Our laser resurfacing is performed in the operating room with sedation or general anesthesia. Some smaller areas can be treated safely in the clinic with local anesthesia. Usually, your surgeon will treat the entire face in order to blend the treatment. However, in selected patients, particular areas may be targeted.
A skin care plan tailored for you will be prepared prior to the procedure and for the healing period. This is individualized based on your skin type and concerns. Care must be taken to avoid too much sun exposure prior to and following the procedure, and to use appropriate sun block and sun precautions.
