Orientation and Layout Separation

• Compass Orientation: North is toward the top of the map, South is down, West is to the left, and East is to the right.
• Layout Separation: Floor 4 is split into two primary distinct zones (a western dark blue structure and an eastern light purple structure) connected exclusively by a single horizontal cross-corridor.

Western Dark Blue Structure

• Offices Zone: The far western end of this structure consists of an isolated wing labeled Offices.
• Medical Short Stay Unit-Blue: East of the offices wing is a vertical rectangular corridor loop enclosing the Medical Short Stay Unit-Blue.
  • This loop features two restroom symbols inside its track: one at the inner northern end, and one at the inner southern end.
• Elevator 9 & Palliative Care: At the northernmost point of this loop sits Elevator 9. Directly North of Elevator 9 is a triangle symbol pointing up, labeled Palliative Care. A third restroom symbol sits along the western track of this loop, directly South of the Elevator 9 hub.

Eastern Light Purple Structure

• Cross-Corridor Pathway: A single horizontal hallway leaves the eastern side of the Medical Short Stay Unit-Blue loop and runs straight East, entering a large rectangular block labeled Offices.
• Elevator 8 & Amenities: Inside this light purple office block, the hallway turns North and terminates directly at Elevator 8. A restroom symbol is located on the West side of this short vertical corridor segment just south of Elevator 8.

Access Route Inset Guidance

• External Access: The "Access Route on Floor 2" inset specifies that access to Floor 4 requires taking the main Floor 2 orange access route from East Medical Center Drive through to UH SOUTH, then using Elevator 8 or Elevator 9 to ascend to Floor 4.
