Orientation and Map Layout

This map details Floor 10 of C.S. Mott Children's Hospital Michigan Medicine.

• Compass Direction: On this map, North is directed toward the left side of the page. Therefore, East is up, West is down, and South is toward the right side of the page.
• Pathways: The accessible route for the public is represented by a network of interconnected light beige Public Pathways. All patient rooms, clinical areas, and family support spaces are color-coded in green.

Central Hub (Elevator 7 & Support Areas)

• Elevator 7: Located in the lower-central region of the floor plan (toward the South side).
• Moving Westbound (Down the page) from Elevator 7: A short pathway leads West and immediately terminates at a set of Stairs. Just to the right (North) of these stairs is an entry area labeled Ronald McDonald House within the Hospital.
• Moving Northbound (Left across the page) from Elevator 7: Following the main corridor straight North from Elevator 7, an Information desk icon is located on your right.
• Family Lounge & Lactation Room: Directly adjacent to the Information icon on the right (East) is the Family Lounge. Within this lounge block, a Lactation Room icon is located at the northern edge.
• Dialysis: Directly opposite the Family Lounge (to the left/West) is a green department labeled Dialysis. It features an inward-pointing dark blue Entry/Exit triangle marker accessible from the pathway.

Northern Network (PICU Inpatient Wings)

Past the Dialysis and Family Lounge sections, the pathway splits into a grid-like structure to service the northern Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) rooms.

• Restrooms (Central Grid): In the first central intersection of this northern grid, a set of Restrooms sits directly between the parallel pathways.
• Stairs: On the westernmost northbound corridor, a set of Stairs is located directly on the path.
• Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Rooms 10E-01 to 10E-11: Located along the westernmost edge of the grid (the far-left side of the floor plan).
• Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Rooms 10E-12 to 10E-23: Located along the outer curved northern hallway loop (the top-left area). A set of Stairs sits directly on the pathway at the absolute northernmost tip of this corridor.
• Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Rooms 10E-24 to 10E-30: Located in the green wing branching out toward the upper right (North/East) side of the grid. A set of Stairs is positioned on the pathway loop at the eastern edge of this wing.

Eastern Network (PCTU Inpatient Wing)

If you move East (Up the page) from the Elevator 7 central area, the pathway connects to a separate loop servicing the eastern half of the floor.

• Restrooms (South-Central): Immediately East of Elevator 7, a short corridor features a set of Restrooms on the left.
• Stairs: Continuing East past these restrooms, a set of Stairs sits directly on the path. Another set of Restrooms is located just North of these stairs.
• Pediatric Cardiothoracic Unit (PCTU) Rooms 10W-31 to 10W-60: The entire large green area running along the far eastern and southeastern half of the floor plan is labeled Pediatric Cardiothoracic Unit (PCTU) Rooms 10W-31 to 10W-60. This section is navigated by a rectangular looping pathway that circles around a central green block before connecting back to the main corridor system.
