Orientation and Map Layout

This map details Floor 12 of C.S. Mott Children's Hospital Michigan Medicine.

• Compass Direction: On this map, North is directed toward the left side of the page. Therefore, East is up, West is down, and South is toward the right side of the page.
• Pathways: The accessible route for the public is represented by a network of interconnected light beige Public Pathways. All patient rooms, diagnostic areas, gyms, and lounges are color-coded in green.

Central Hub (Elevator 7 & Support Areas)

• Elevator 7: Located in the lower-central region of the floor plan (toward the South side).
• Moving Westbound (Down the page) from Elevator 7: A short pathway leads West.
  • Restrooms & Stairs: Immediately on the left (South) side of this short hallway is a set of Restrooms and a set of Stairs.
  • Conference Suite: At the absolute western end of this path segment is a green room labeled Conference Suite.
• Moving Northbound (Left across the page) from Elevator 7: Following the main vertical corridor North from Elevator 7, an Information desk icon is located on your right.
• Family Lounge / Laundry: Located immediately East (up the page) from Elevator 7, accessible via an inward-pointing Entry/Exit triangle marker.

Western Diagnostic & Therapy Block

• EEG: Directly opposite the Information desk (to the left/West) is a green area labeled EEG. It features a dark blue Entry/Exit triangle marker pointing inward from the corridor.
• PT/OT Gym Speech Pathology: Located directly North of the EEG area is a green section labeled PT/OT Gym Speech Pathology.
• Activity Room & Lactation Room: Directly to the East of the gym area, across the main vertical pathway:
  • There is a small green space labeled Activity Room with an inward-pointing Entry/Exit triangle.
  • Just South of the Activity Room is a Lactation Room icon.
• Stairs: A set of Stairs is located directly on the vertical public pathway just West of the gym/EEG boundary.

Northern Network (Pediatric Patient Wings 12E)

Past the gym and Activity Room, the pathway splits into a grid network servicing the northern Pediatric Patient rooms.

• Pediatric Patient Rooms 12E-01 to 12E-14: Located along the westernmost corridor (the far left side of the floor plan grid).
• Pediatric Patient Rooms 12E-15 to 12E-26: Located along the outer curved northern hallway loop (the top-left area). A set of Stairs sits directly on the pathway at the absolute northernmost tip of this loop.
• Pediatric Patient Rooms 12E-27 to 12E-32: Located in the green wing branching out to the upper right (North/East) section of the grid. A set of Stairs is positioned on the pathway at the eastern corner of this wing.

Eastern Network (Pediatric Patient Wings 12W)

Moving East (Up the page) from the main vertical corridor reveals a grid loop servicing the eastern half of the floor.

• Stairs: At the southern entrance of this eastern pathway loop, a set of Stairs sits directly on the path.
• Pediatric Patient Rooms 12W-33 to 12W-41: Located along the upper outer curved corridor of this eastern section. A set of Stairs sits directly on the pathway at the far eastern tip where this corridor meets an entry point.
• Pediatric Patient Rooms 12W-42 to 12W-54: Located in the green wing extending out to the far right (East) edge of the map.
• Pediatric Patient Rooms 12W-55 to 12W-64: Located at the lower eastern corner (the southeast section) of the floor plan. This area is navigated by a rectangular pathway loop circling the bottom edge of the inpatient wing before connecting back toward the Family Lounge area.
