    Dr. Marwaha received his MD degree from Brown University in Providence, RI and completed his residency training in general surgery at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, DC. During part of his residency training he attended Harvard Medical School where he obtained a Master's degree in Biomedical Informatics and continues to study how artificial intelligence can be applied to improve the care of surgical patients.

    Research Overview

    Dr. Marwaha's research focuses on applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in surgery. During his residency training he completed a postdoctoral fellowship in surgical AI at Harvard Medical School and held a research position funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) where he built, deployed, and evaluated surgical AI systems at large academic medical centers and studied physician-AI interfaces. His most recent research focuses on how physicians and computers can interact and collaborate to produce the best possible decisions for patient care. His most recent publications can be found here.
