Staci Aubry, MD

Dr. Aubry obtained her B.S. degree from the University of Michigan and then went on to obtain her M.D. degree at Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL. She completed her general surgery residency at the University of North Carolina, followed by a fellowship in Trauma and Surgical Critical Care here at the University of Michigan. She stayed on as faculty following the completion of her fellowship.

Outside of clinical activities, Dr. Aubry is actively involved in the medical student education through the surgical clerkship and is currently obtaining her master’s in health professional education (MHPE) degree at the University of Michigan.

Clinical Specialization:

Dr. Aubry specializes in the care of patients suffering from an acute surgical illness or trauma. My practice consists of all aspects of emergency general and trauma surgery, as well as surgical critical care in both the surgical intensive care unit and the trauma/burn intensive care unit.

Dr. Aubry’s research interests are centered around medical education. She is actively involved in the education of trainees and specifically interested in effective teaching in the operating room. She also works with Stewart Wang, MD in the International Center for Automotive Medicine (ICAM). This center works to combine our medical and educational expertise with the work of automotive engineers.
