About
Dr. Kaitlin Kyi is a clinical instructor at the University of Michigan with joint appointments in Oncology and Geriatrics. Originally from New York, she attended medical school at SUNY Upstate University. She went on to complete residency at University of Rochester, where she also served as chief resident. She went on to complete her fellowship in Medical Oncology and Geriatrics at the University of Rochester, where she received awards for Humanism in Oncology and excellence in Geriatrics. While in Rochester, she championed medical education initiatives with narrative medicine work-shops and division-wide lectures on patient-centered language. She is a Clinical Researcher with a focus on improving communication between older adults with Cancer and their providers. Dr. Kyi has presented her work at international and national conferences, including AGS, SIOG, and ASCO. She was recently honored as a GRACE Patient Education Ambassador for her continued commitment to patient education.
