Food and Nutrition While in the Hospital

While you are a patient in our hospitals, we provide nutrition services that best align with your health needs. We work with care teams to develop mean plans and offer nutrition assessments and counseling for inpatients.

Inpatient Meal Service

We prepare and deliver healthy, nutritionally-balanced food to inpatients in University Hospital, Women's Hospital and C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. Our staff of registered dietitians and dietetic technicians determine the best meal options for patients based on medical condition and treatment plan, common specialized base menus, nutritional needs and individual preferences.

Inpatient Nutrition Services

We provide nutrition assessment, intervention and counseling services for inpatients of University Hospital, Von Voightlander Women's Hospital and C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., 7 days a week.
