    David received his Master's degree in social work from the University of Michigan, with a focus on Interpersonal Practice and Mental Health. David completed a year-long internship at the University of Michigan Comprehensive Gender Services Program, where he provided mental health and case management services for transgender and gender non-conforming children and adults. David then completed one year as a Post Graduate Social Work Fellow in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and now holds a staff position as a Clinical Social Worker working with children, adolescents, and their families. During his internship and masters program David was trained in a variety of evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for depression and anxiety, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). As a fellow, David received further training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy/ Family Focused Therapy, and in Trauma Focused CBT and Trauma and Grief Component Therapy. David's clinical interests include working with children and adolescents in the LGBTQ community, anxiety disorders, depression, and working with both young children and adolescents who have experienced trauma.
