Paper Football
Make your own miniature football game with a paper football and crafts.
What You’ll Need:
- Four craft sticks
- Tape
- Varying weights of paper (such as printer paper, construction paper, cardstock, etc.)
- Washi tape
- Scissors
Instructions:
- Step 1: Start by creating your goalpost. Put two craft sticks perpendicular to one craft stick laying horizontally and line up the edges to overlap. Wrap scotch tape around the sticks to secure them together. Line up the fourth craft stick with the middle of the horizontal craft stick and have the top of the fourth craft stick just overlap on the horizontal craft stick. Use the tape to secure it in place.
Step 2: Now make your paper football. Choose a piece of paper to start with and fold the paper into your football. We thought it would be hard to explain writing it all out! But we found very helpful and quick video tutorials on YouTube by searching for “paper football.”
- Step 3: Repeat with the other pieces of paper.
- Step 4: Use the washi tape and scissors to create your football lacing on one side of the footballs.
- Step 5: Hypothesize which paper football you think will go the farthest, which one will be hardest to “kick,” etc. Have a parent or friend hold your goalpost while you flick the footballs through the goalposts!
