July 12, 2025 - "Ultimately, I was able to meet my goals for this appointment, which included establishing care with Dr. Cuesta and getting additional testing ordered to further clarify what may be contributing to my primary concern of [...]. Dr. Cuesta made some attempts to get to know me and establish rapport at the beginning of the visit, which is something I highly value as a patient. [...] He also clearly explained that we would be using AI to support during the visit and clearly got my consent for that - he explained that he would be repeating data out loud from my chart in order to aid that process. One thing about our visit that didn't quite meet my expectations was how the intake conversation went, when I was attempting to share how I came to end up in his office - what often happened Is Dr. Cuesta would ask me a question, and while I would be in the middle of responding to it, he would jump in with a follow up question or another question it seemed like he meant to ask beforehand to get other preliminary information. Also, his questions or statements were sometimes unclear, so I got the distinct impression that I was providing different information than what he was seeking. The overall experience of that part of the conversation was choppy, somewhat disorienting, and mildly frustrating at times. [...]. Regardless, something about the conversation didn't feel natural, and it often left me wondering to what degree Dr. Cuesta was fully, deeply listening. [...] Dr. Cuesta's recommendations for follow up testing all made sense and matched my expectations for the appointment. And the physical examination component matched my expectations as well - he explained clearly why he was doing certain physical tests. He also made a point to ask what questions I had and gave me time to consider - when I did have follow up questions, he listened to them and responded clearly."
