    Ronald D. Chervin, M.D., M.S. - Michael S. Aldrich Collegiate Professor of Sleep Medicine, Professor of Neurology, and Director, Sleep Disorders Center. Dr. Chervin completed his medical degree at Stanford University, and a master's degree in clinical research at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. He completed a residency in neurology at Cornell University in New York City, and a fellowship in sleep medicine at Stanford University.

    Dr. Chervin's clinical and research interests focus on both adults and children. He has contributed to research on a wide range of subjects in sleep medicine, including obstructive sleep apnea, upper airway resistance syndrome, sleep laboratory methods, sleepiness, insomnia, cognitive and behavioral consequences of sleep disorders, periodic leg movements during sleep, and REM sleep behavior disorder.

    Areas of Practice

    Sleep disorders of any type in adults and children; obstructive sleep apnea; insomnia; parasomnias (behaviors during sleep) such as REM sleep behavior disorder; restless legs syndrome; narcolepsy and other neurological causes of daytime sleepiness.
