    Ann Laidlaw, MD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Michigan. She completed her residency in PM&R at the University of Michigan, serving as chief resident, and holds subspecialty certifications in Electrodiagnostic Medicine and Sports Medicine. Dr. Laidlaw’s clinical expertise spans musculoskeletal and neuromuscular medicine, including sports medicine, post-polio syndrome, performing arts medicine, and electrodiagnostic evaluation. She has over a decade of experience teaching in the Clinical Foundations of Medicine course at the Michigan Medicine medical school. Her research interests include musculoskeletal education, electrodiagnostic medicine, and performing arts medicine, and she participates in ongoing clinical projects within these areas. Dr. Laidlaw sees patients in the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Clinic and the Neurology EEG/EMG Lab. She is known for her patient-centered approach and dedication to individualized functional recovery.
