About
Dr. Heider completed his medical training at the University of Damascus (Damascus, Syria) and obtained his M.D. degree in 2000. He then completed Anatomic Pathology post graduate education in 2003. He joined the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), (Pittsburgh, PA) Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology residency training program in 2005 and graduated in June 2009. He completed a Cytopathology Fellowship in 2010 at UPMC, followed by a Pediatric Pathology Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in 2011.
Dr. Heider joined the faculty of the University of Michigan Health System in September 2011 as Assistant Professor in Pediatric and Perinatal Pathology and Cytopathology.
Dr. Heider is board certified in Pediatric Pathology, Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, and Cytopathology.
