Zachary Charles Junga, MD

Zachary C. Junga, MD, received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a medical degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine. He was commissioned as an officer in the US Army and he completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (National Capital Consortium). He completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology at Walter Reed. After graduating from fellowship, Dr. Junga was stationed in Landstuhl, Germany, where he served as a staff gastroenterologist and then as chief of Gastroenterology at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. He also served as the Subject Matter Expert for Gastroenterology for Regional Health Command Europe as well as the Consultant for Gastroenterology for the Commanding General. Dr. Junga has co-authored 17 peer-reviewed manuscripts and reviews.
