    Dr. Maher received her M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She completed her predoctoral internship in Adult/Geriatric Neuropsychology at Emory University and a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Adult/Geriatric neuropsychology at Michigan Medicine.

    Research Overview

    Dr. Maher is interested in understanding what contributes to cognitive health in older age and in the detection of Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders (ADRD) in their earliest stages. The ultimate goal of her work is to apply information gleaned from the investigation of cognitively successful adults to those early in the ADRD course to mitigate cognitive decline.
