    Research Overview

I published a couple of articles surrounding complex psychopharmacology topics including medication interactions and untraditional management for neuropsychiatric disorders. I published a couple of papers related to geriatric psychiatric care including elderly bipolar disorder and innovative treatments for Alzheimer's disease. I published one paper about the role of future planning the assessment of imminent suicide risk. I published an article and a book chapter regarding personality disorders. I published a book chapter about legal and ethical issues in psychiatry practice. I published a couple of articles related to the effects of COVID-19 pandemic on psychiatric emergency service utilization. Currently, I am working on establishing a new model theorizing how the transition from suicidal thinking to suicidal behaviors takes place. I am also working on constructing a framework detailing how to engage patients in discussion surrounding the legal status of their psychiatric admission.
