U of M Health Urology is a nationally ranked specialty by US News & World Report 2022-23.

The Department of Urology at the University of Michigan exists to relieve urologic disease and disability by providing kind and excellent patient-centered care that is integrated with the latest innovations. 

We have been providing care for urologic conditions since 1920, and are the leading regional referral center for complex urologic surgery. The faculty provide services throughout Southeast Michigan including Ann ArborBrightonLivoniaChelsea Multispecialty Clinic, Muskegon, Ypsilanti, and Flint. Our care teams consist of surgeons, primary care providers, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, sex therapists, nurses, and medical assistants who work together to provide care and offer treatments when they are necessary. Our surgeons are board-certified, sub-specialty certified where such exists (pediatrics, oncology), and lead research that is changing how urologic care is delivered.

Our care teams offer state-of-the-art treatments such as robotic, laser, and minimally invasive surgical techniques for both benign and cancerous conditions. We are consistently recognized as one of the top urology programs in the nation by the US News and World Report.
