    Dr. Greenson received both his undergraduate degree and M.D. at the University of Michigan, in 1980 and 1984, respectively. Following residency and fellowship training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Maryland, he joined the faculty at the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1990. In 1993, he joined the Department of Pathology at the University of Michigan as an Assistant Professor, where he became the Director of Surgical Pathology Fellowship Program in 1995 and the Director of Surgical Pathology in 1997. He served in these positions through 2005. He was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in 1997 and to the rank of Professor in 2003.

    Dr. Greenson has clinical and research interests in gastrointestinal and liver pathology. Dr. Greenson is also a past-president of the Gastrointestinal Pathology Society.

    Areas of Practice

    Pathology, gastrointestinal and liver pathology, infections and neoplasms of the liver gastrointestinal tract and inflammatory bowel disease.
