About
Dr. Yalamanchi is a fellowship-trained surgeon in Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction. Her clinical practice includes all aspects of head and neck surgical oncology and reconstructive surgery. She also serves as a Faculty Expert at the Institute of Healthcare Policy and Innovation at the University of Michigan, where she conducts research on value-based cancer care delivery.
Dr. Yalamanchi was born and raised in Michigan. She was an art minor in college and brings this experience to her reconstructive practice. These days, she enjoy running and going on hikes with her family.

Research Overview
I study value-based care delivery in otolaryngology and head and neck oncology - essentially how we can make our care higher quality at a lower cost. I have an MBA in Healthcare Management and use my formal training in cost-based analyses to focus my research on (1) time-driven activity-based costing methodology in complex surgical care and (2) cost and quality measurement and large-scale quality improvement interventions in otolaryngology. I am also interested in financial toxicity and individualized decision support in head and neck cancer treatment.
