    Dr. Theodore Kung is a faculty member in the Section of Plastic Surgery at the University of Michigan. Dr. Kung received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University. He then completed an integrated plastic surgery residency at the University of Michigan. In addition, he also pursued fellowship training at the University of Washington in Seattle to specialize in microsurgical reconstruction, breast reconstruction, and lymphedema surgery.

    Research Overview

    Dr. Kung’s main areas of research include clinical outcomes after autologous and prosthetic breast reconstruction with additional focuses in the mechanisms of lymphedema and outcomes after lymphedema surgery. Furthermore, Dr. Kung is involved in research on peripheral nerve regeneration following injury and repair.
