Pharmacy Residency Advisory Committee & Manual

The Residency Advisory Committee has oversight of all the pharmacy residency programs and meets on a quarterly basis. The purpose of the Residency Advisory Committee is to establish and maintain ASHP- accredited pharmacy residency programs and to serve as the advisory and organizational structure for all UMH pharmacy residency programs

The committee shall assure:

  • Residency programs adhere to the Pharmacy Department, Hospital and ASHP mission and guidelines
  • Respective residents’ and Department’s goals are met
  • Residents’ advocacy to other faculty, staff, and Departments
  • Residents’ adherence to residency program requirements
  • Mentorship and guidance to residents
  • Development of new programs as needed to support department needs, future pharmacist roles, and job market changes
  • Decisions important to the function of the department are made in a timely manner

Residency Manual

The residency manual is reviewed regularly by the Pharmacy Residency Manager and Residency Advisory Committee (RAC). It contains pertinent information on learning experiences (rotations), graduation requirements, and residency policies, benefits, and travel funding.
