Nimita Mahadev Mehta, NP

Nimita Mehta MSN, ACNP-BC is a Nurse Practitioner at the University of Michigan Frankel Cardiovascular Center in Ann Arbor, and former Faculty at School of Nursing, University of Michigan and currently Adjunct Faculty at the School of Nursing, University of Michigan. Graduated from Bachelor’s of Science in Botany, Zoology and chemistry in honors from Maharaja Sayaji Rao University Baroda, India. Got certifications in computer programming in C++, database, Lotus and Cobol, married and went to Bangkok, Thailand. Worked for a software company in Bangkok, web designing, from home and then worked full time as a Computer Teacher in her son’s school at Bangkok Patana British International school. Migrated to USA in 2000 and got Associate Degree in Web Designing and E-commerce with honors from Washtenaw Community College. Got Bachelor’s in Science of Nursing from School of Nursing , University of Michigan , worked at St.Joseph Mercy Hospital Ann Arbor as RN for seven and a half years. Got admitted to Graduate School in 2009 and worked as Graduate Student Instructor , and completed Nurse Practitioner program from School of Nursing , University of Michigan , in 2012. Have been working as full time NP at Michigan Medicine in MEND-  inpatient Diabetes Team, cardiac  Electrophysiology Department here since 2013. Nimita lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Thoroughly enjoys her job, passion for her profession,  loves her patient and loves to  spend quality time with her husband – businessman and son Rahul – ER resident , loves to travel, cook , read , make friends, and spend time with family and friends.
