About
Dr. Ehrlich earned his medical degree from University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine and completed his General Surgery residency at the University of Toronto. In addition, he completed a Master of Science in Molecular Pathology from the Institute of Medical Sciences at the University of Toronto and completed a fellowship in Pediatric Surgery at Children's National Medical Center in Washington DC. After completing his fellowship Dr Ehrlich spent 5 years at West Virginia University Children’s Hospital as the director of pediatric surgery. He came to Ann Arbor in 2003 and is currently a Professor of Surgery in pediatric general surgery. Dr. Ehrlich serves as the Director of the Pediatric Trauma and is a member of the Solid Tumor Oncology Program at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital at the University of Michigan.
Clinical Specialization:
Dr. Ehrlich is extremely active in the Children’s Oncology Group serving as a surgical principal investigator on the renal tumor committee as well as the scientific council. He is world renowned for his work with Wilms Tumor. Dr. Ehrlich is board certified in Pediatric Surgery and General Surgery and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Research Overview
Dr. Ehrlich is nationally recognized in both pediatric trauma research and pediatric oncology research. His current research activities include Wilm’s tumor, Firearm Research, and various pediatric trauma assessment and outcomes. He serves on several scientific committees including the National Pediatric Trauma Registry Advisory Council, Renal Tumor Committee Chair Bilateral Wilms Tumor Study ARENO534, Scientific Council Children’s Oncology Group, and the Pediatric Trauma Society (Founder).
