About
Dr. Langen is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Michigan.
She completed her undergraduate degree, medical degree, residency and fellowship education at Stanford University. After graduation in 2012, she joined Michigan Medicine faculty as an Assistant Professor.
Dr. Langen is the Obstetrics Director of the Cardio-Obstetrics Program and Director for the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship at the University of Michigan.
Areas of Practice
Dr. Langen specializes in cardiovascular disease in women, cardio-obstetrics, maternal congenital heart conditions and pregnancy, premature onset of labor, premature rupture of membranes, cervical shortening, and high risk pregnancies.

Research Overview
Dr. Langen’s research interests include labor abnormalities in term and preterm birth as well as maternal cardiac disease in pregnancy.
Dr. Langen has several ongoing research studies involving PPROM, labor abnormalities, and is the Director of the Obstetrics Biorepository at Michigan Medicine. As the Director of Research for the Maternal Fetal Medicine Division, she facilitates projects for the fellows and residents.
