    Research Overview

    Dr. Buchakjian studies the molecular biology of oral cavity squamous cell carcinoma with an interest in epithelial mesenchymal transition, cancer invasion, and cancer metabolism. She is examining how difference in cell genetics might impact cancer's ability to invade into surrounding structures, and how these differences might be exploited to improve patient outcomes. She works in basic science, translational research, and clinical research.
