Research Overview
Dr. Krumeich received a Master of Science in Translational Research at the University of Pennsylvania for her study of the immune response to solid tumors. She now investigates immune cells and hormones in the adrenal gland to explain why cancers from other organs preferentially grow in the adrenal gland. Her work has also helped to establish best practices for parathyroid and thyroid surgery such as prediction of low calcium levels after parathyroidectomy and management of slow-growing thyroid tumors.
