Yuliya Tipograf, MD

Dr. Tipograf is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cardiac Surgery at University of Michigan. She completed her undergraduate studies at Cornell University and earned her medical degree from the University of Miami. She completed her surgical residency at Columbia University New York-Presbyterian Medical Center. During that time, she completed a clinical fellowship in extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and successfully established a large animal and basic sciences laboratory before pursuing a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and American Board of Thoracic Surgery.

Dr. Tipograf's clinical areas of interest include surgical treatment of advanced heart and lung failure including transplantation and mechanical circulatory support, coronary revascularization, complex valvular disease, and pulmonary thromboendarterectomy for chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension.

Dr. Tipograf’s research focuses on bioengineering platforms for organ recovery and regeneration, mechanical assist devices for cardiopulmonary failure, heart and lung transplantation, and pulmonary vascular disease. Please see my complete bibliography.
