Vikram Sood, MD

Vikram Sood, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Cardiac Surgery at the University of Michigan Medical School, specializing in surgery for congenital and pediatric acquired heart disease. Dr. Sood is a member of the heart transplant team at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, and he serves as the medical student coordinator for the Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Service. Dr. Sood has a strong interest in education and is a staunch advocate for undergraduate mentorship programs, medical student subspecialty interest groups, and graduate medical education. Dr. Sood attended the University of Michigan for medical school, cardiothoracic surgery residency, and pediatric cardiovascular surgery fellowship. Dr. Sood is interested in the full spectrum of congenital heart disease and has a strong interest in quality improvement initiatives within the Congenital Heart Center.
