About
Mollie McDermott, MD, MS, is the Chief of Staff for Michigan Medicine. She is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Neurology. Dr. McDermott completed subspecialty training in Vascular Neurology. She received her bachelor’s degree from Mount Holyoke College and her medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School. Dr. McDermott completed her residency training in Neurology at the University of Michigan, where she served as chief resident from 2014 to 2015. In 2017 she received her master of science degree in clinical research design and statistical analysis from the University of Michigan. Dr. McDermott is interested in acute stroke management, stroke in women, and atypical causes of stroke. She has previously served as the medical director of the Comprehensive Stroke Center, as director of UM's statewide telestroke program, and as the Stroke Program division director. Dr. McDermott's Chief of Staff term extends from 2024 to 2027.
