Frank Garrett Conyers, MD, MPP

Garrett Conyers graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with honors from Morehouse College. He received his MD from Harvard Medical School during which time he also completed a Masters in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. He took two years off in medical school to lead a community participatory research project looking into health inequities in underserved communities in Boston. Dr. Conyers then completed a neurology residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital followed by a fellowship in vascular neurology at the University of Michigan. Clinically, he has a special interest in moyamoya disease and shared decision making. He is involved in several diversity, equity and inclusion committees nationally. He is passionate about healthcare equity and optimizing systems of care for vulnerable populations, such as imprisoned and socioeconomically disadvantages patients.
