May 8, 2026 - "I was totally impressed by Doctor Hunter Underwood. Needless to say listening and compassion play a big part in being a fantastic physician. Doctor Hunter asked me to explain what brought me to him and answered all of my questions. He then proceeded to tell me what he expected to be doing following some further verification labs. Part of havng surgery is to feel comfortable with the surgeon that will be doing the procedure. I was extremely impressed with Doctor Hunter Underwood and am grateful that he will be my surgeon if ultimately required. He is exactly the type of person that you hope to find if you need medical treatment."

October 29, 2025 - "I wanted to share my experience in case it helps someone who's looking for a surgeon. I had my [...] surgery with Dr. Underwood at the University of Michigan, and I'm really grateful I chose him. I don't usually trust easily when it comes to my health, and honestly, I still had doubts even going into surgery. I had seen a few different surgeons and went back and forth, but something about him just felt right, and I'm glad I went with my gut. Right before surgery, he did his own [...] and told me I'd need a [...] along with [...]. I wasn't sure about it, but he said he was confident that [...] would come back positive - and he was right. My pathology later confirmed that. If he hadn't done that, I would've needed another surgery, so I'm really thankful he caught it.During surgery, he also noticed some scar tissue and said it might be [...], which again turned out to be true. He had to remove [...], but another one came out and he was able to re-implant it successfully. I'm so thankful for that. My recovery has gone really well so far. Dr. Underwood has been amazing through the whole process. Every time I had a question, he called me back himself, took time to talk things through, and never made me feel rushed. When my pathology results came out, he called me right away before I even had a chance to see them in my chart. He just wanted to make sure I heard it from him first, which really meant a lot. Overall, I'm just really thankful for how everything went. I know how stressful it can be trying to make the right choice, so I hope this helps someone who's still in that stage."
