Diabetes Devices: LibreView

This page will help you upload and share your blood sugar data with your U-M Health care team using LibreView.

Connect via App

If you use the Abbott Freestyle Libre and have a smartphone, you can connect your data to our clinic through the Freestyle Libre app and LibreView. This method is quick and does not require a computer or data cable.

Download the Freestyle Libre app: Download the Freestyle Libre app for iPhone or Android. Within the app, sign up for an account or log in to an existing account.
Open connected apps: Tap the hamburger icon — three horizontal bars — in the upper left corner of the app. Select "Connected Apps" from the menu. Then choose "LibreView" from the list.
Connect to our practice: Select "Connect to a Practice." Enter our practice code: 08383226. You should see our clinic name appear under your practice list, confirming the connection is successful. Once connected, your Freestyle Libre data will be visible to your Michigan Medicine care team through LibreView.

Connect via Receiver

If you use a LibreView receiver device instead of a smartphone, you will need to set up your account online and upload your data using a computer. Follow the steps below to get connected.

Create a LibreView account: Go to libreview.com and click "Sign Up." Choose "LibreView Account" and follow the prompts to fill in your information. Save your sign-in details. After logging in, click the dropdown in the upper right and select "Account Settings." Click the "My Practices" tab and enter: 08383226. You should see our clinic name appear.
Connect your Libre to your computer: Use the included cable to plug your Libre reader into your computer. The first time you download data, you may be prompted to install device drivers. Click the link that says "Download the LibreView Device Drivers" and follow the prompts to complete installation.
Upload your data: Once your device is connected and drivers are installed, click "Press to Begin Upload" in LibreView to upload your data to your account. Your care team will then be able to see your reports.
