    Dr. Shi is a Professor of Pathology at the University of Michigan (UM). She is a physician-scientist and GI pathologist with a research interest in pancreas pathology and pancreatic cancer biology. Dr. Shi was the recipient of an NCI Mentored Clinical Scientist Research Career Development Award (K08), NCI MERIT Award (R37), and Benjamin Castleman Award from the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP). She has served as a standing member of the NIH study section, reviewer for the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) of UK, and Abstract Review Board member of USCAP and American Gastroenterological Association (AGA). Dr. Shi is also an Editorial Board Member of Modern Pathology and World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology and an Associate Editor of Frontiers in Oncology.
