About
Dr. MacDonald grew up in St. Ignace, a small town in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. He attended medical school at Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine. From there, he completed his neurology residency and then a fellowship in Behavioral Neurology at the Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. MacDonald’s primary interests are related to the diagnosis and management of different neurodegenerative diseases of the brain such as Alzheimer’s disease, Lewy body disease, vascular dementia, and frontotemporal dementia. In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. MacDonald has also participated in several clinical trials assessing the safety and efficacy of drugs designed to slow the progression of certain neurodegenerative disorders.
Areas of Practice
Neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, fronto-temporal dementia, and Lewy body dementia.
