Research Overview
Dr. Deininger’s research focuses on the pathogenesis of myeloid malignancies and their targeted therapy, translating knowledge generated his lab into the clinic. He has led numerous clinical trials in leukemia, several of which changed clinical practice. Current work is focused on strategies to eliminate chronic myeloid leukemia stem cells and the development of immunotherapy approaches to treat chronic myelomonocytic leukemia.
