About
Dr. Suh received his M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and his Master of Health Science degree from Duke University. He completed his internal medicine residency at Cleveland Clinic and fellowship training in geriatric medicine at Duke University and Durham VA Medical Center. Dr. Suh has been board-certified in internal medicine and geriatric medicine. His clinical and research interests include geriatric and functional assessment, geriatric consultation, dementia care, fall prevention, osteoporosis, oral health, sleep disorders, medication use in older adults, and telehealth.
Dr. Suh is a faculty member at both the University of Michigan and the Ann Arbor VA Hospital, and he serves as Medical Director of Turner Geriatric Clinic at East Ann Arbor for Michigan Medicine. Dr. Suh is a Fellow of the American Geriatrics Society (AGS) and serves as the Co-Chair for the Oral Health and Aging Special Interest Group for AGS. Ypsilanti, MI.

June 20, 2026 - "There is one aspect of meeting a new person to whom I turn for help and that is: I wish to be LOOKED at ....I hope to make eye contact, I look at a person's eyes and that meeting is of great significance to me as I see and also feel communication through the eyes. If there is very minimal eye contact, I feel I cannot open, nor am I perceived fully. Dr. Suh was efficient academically but on a human level, where healing takes place (in my opinion and experience)...that was lacking somewhat more than comfortable for me. I was not dissatisfied, but also not trustingly satisfied. His entry into the computer was very important to him while I was waiting for when he will finally agree to observe me. This happened only minimally. He was courteous, no issues on that level. I guess the human aspect of healing is not valued nor understood nor deemed significant and certainly not practiced. Some people are born healers and just have that quality. With most it is hidden, covered over by having to document everything on the computer during the consultation......which are just words!![...]"
