I was born and raised in Maumee, Ohio. I received my bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan and my medical degree from the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio. I was trained as a general pediatrician at Akron Children’s Hospital in Akron, Ohio and completed a chief resident year there, as well.
