About
Dr. Farrehi is presently Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, a position he has held since 2009. He received his undergraduate degree from Haverford College and medical degree from Emory University. He then completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan. A clinical cardiology fellowship was performed also at the University of Michigan between 1994-1998. After completing clinical cardiology training, Dr. Farrehi went back to Emory University to finish an interventional cardiology fellowship. Dr. Farrehi has an interest in all fields of clinical cardiology. In particular, he is interested in studying the association of sleep breathing disorders in patients with heart disease. Currently, he also serves as the Medical Director on 7C M-PLAN , (Medical directors Partnering to Lead Along with Nurse managers), an initiative formalized by the Office of Clinical Affairs, aspiring to the ideas espoused in the Health System’s Ideal Patient Care Experience. He has been appointed as Director of Strategic Outreach for the Division to work with institutional leadership and outreach committees in developing optimal framework for building relationships between academic and community hospitals.
