    I was born and raised in Indiana and attended Indiana University for both undergraduate education and medical school. I moved to Ann Arbor to complete my pediatric residency and loved the community so much that I wanted to stay and continue to treat and advocate for pediatric patients.

    Volunteering and advocacy are incredibly important to me, which has led me to volunteer at clinics throughout my training and travel international to learn about global health initiatives and support. One way to support my patients is through education, so I also have enjoyed editing and contributing some written work to help educate patients on a variety of topics.

    Areas of Practice
    I work within primary care but am additionally passionate about newborn care, early literacy with the Reach Out and Read program, adolescent mental health, and advocacy.

    Research Overview
    My research in the last 3 years has primarily focused on discussions regarding early literacy with families in well-visits from birth to 5-years-old and how to better train pediatric residents in having these conversations.
