About
Dr. Lawrence is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Michigan Medical School.
Dr. Lawrence received her undergraduate degree at UNC -Chapel Hill before completing medical school, OBGYN residency, and a Fellowship in Global Women's Health at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Lawrence was OBGYN Administrative Chief Resident 2018-2019. She won a number of teaching awards, including the Award for Excellence in Intern Education, the Galen's Society Bronze Beeper Award for excellence in medical student teaching (2016, 2017, 2019), and the Outstanding Educator Award for resident education of medical students.
Areas of Practice
Dr. Lawrence specializes in prenatal care, medical and surgical management of benign gynecology conditions, contraception, and general Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Lawrence's research focuses on disparities and drivers of global maternal morbidity and mortality. Additional interests include global medical education. Her international research focuses in Ghana, West Africa.
